Chinese Program
Students can choose to major or minor in Chinese studies, or to earn a cross-school major in Chinese studies and international business. Students must take 18 credit hours of Chinese language coursework beyond the intermediate level (202) and must participate in an approved study abroad experience. Students may choose to incorporate independent research into their academic program as well.
One section of Chinese at each level (100-400) is offered each semester. Students must take both courses at a particular level before proceeding to the next level, so it’s important for students to plan their schedules carefully. For help in planning your Chinese Studies coursework and for more information about the Chinese Studies major and minor, please consult Dr. Yvonne Howell, chair of Modern Literatures and Cultures.
